Throughout the Bible we are given promises of God’s intervention in the lives of people who put their faith and trust in Him. Isaiah was given a prophetic word about the intervention of the Messiah in our lives. Speaking by the Spirit He gave witness of the message of good news that would be fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 61:1-4 NKJV “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

Isaiah 61:7 NKJV Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

God is giving us insight into the unshakable life of victory that is coming to us through the ministry and life of Jesus Christ.

You need to hear and know this message how God will fight for you in every area of your life. Jesus the Christ came proclaiming this message of comfort for the brokenhearted, release for captives, freedom for prisoners, and to announce the day of God’s favor. He also came to take vengeance on God’s enemies. God has consistently shown Himself to be the Mighty One who saves and delivers. He is the Lord of Hosts and mighty to save. He saves from the power of the destroyer. He saves from the enemy that encamps around God’s people. Almighty God delivers His people from enemies that are too great for God’s people to conquer. He saves from the devouring plague and enemy. He takes vengeance on those who attempt to destroy God’s people. When God comes to our aid, He gives rest to His people.

Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Throughout human history, God has shown Himself to be the Mighty One Who saves.

God’s people learned to rely on the strength and help of Almighty God. Through all of their battles and troubles of life, God has been the Mighty One Who saves. He saves from the power of the destroyer. He saves from the enemies that encamp around God’s people.

1 Chronicles 22:18-19 NKJV David said, “Is not the Lord your God with you? And has He not given you rest on every side? …the land is subdued before the Lord and before His people. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.”

Psalm 118:6 NKJV The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalm 62:8 NKJV Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

You need to know that the Lord is on your side.

God is a refuge and strength to His people. You do not have to fear when the strong enemies come against you. The Lord of Hosts is present to help you. We have this strong consolation and encouragement that we can run to the Lord for help, refuge and protection.

Psalm 124:1-5 NKJV “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say— “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul; Then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.”

Psalm 124:8 NKJV Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

This strong message reverberates throughout the Bible.

God wants His people to know that He is a very present help in their times of trouble. The Lord of Hosts wants you to know that He is ready to fight for you.

God Almighty will fight for us.

Romans 8 gives a clear representation of this message.

Romans 8:31 NKJV What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

God is giving His people strong assurance that all of their battles and enemies will be met with the irresistible power of the Spirit of God. Isaiah 59 shows us the results of the Messiah’s intervention.

Isaiah 59:19 ESV So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives.

This verse gives a strong message of God’s intervention. When the enemy comes against you, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

Isaiah 59:19 NRSV …He will come like a pent-up stream that the wind of the Lord drives on.

Isaiah 59:19 HCSB …He will come like a rushing stream driven by the wind of the Lord.

Isaiah 59:19 NIV For He will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along.

Isaiah 59:19 The Message For He’ll arrive like a river in flood stage, whipped to a torrent by the wind of God.

God wants you to know that He will send the Lord of Hosts to deliver and save His people.

The Lord of Hosts has thousands upon thousands and tens of thousands of angels who respond to His command. He is the Redeemer and Satan’s power and sins dominion are broken. He is the Healer of our bodies and the greatest power of sickness is defeated.

You don’t fight these battles alone.

He is the Mighty God. He is the Great I AM. He is the Lord God Almighty. He is mighty to save, heal and deliver. He will save you from destruction. He is ready to fight for you.

Look at the image that Isaiah was prophesying about God’s aid in the time of conflict and trouble.

The Lord of Hosts is coming to your aid like a rushing stream driven on by the wind of God. With the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ is coming to fight for you.

Whenever the enemy comes in against you, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up this Standard.

The Standard is in the name of the Lord. The Standard is in the blood of Jesus Christ. The Standard is in the power of Christ to save, deliver, and keep. This Standard comes to your aid with the full power of the Holy Spirit.

Get this image of His power to save in your mind and spirit.

The Lord will fight for you.

Don’t magnify or become terrified when the enemy comes against you because he is defeated. Magnify the Lord who is coming to your aid. He will drive back the strongest gates and schemes of the enemy. He will come to fight your greatest battles. In Jesus’ name command the enemy to flee. By the power of the blood of Jesus stand in overcoming victory. Through the power of the Spirit arise to victory.

Psalm 24:7-10 NKJV Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.

The Captain of all of the angelic armies is the Lord of Host.

The Lord of Host is coming to fight for you and the enemy that has come to destroy you will be destroyed. Every stronghold of darkness will be broken down. Lift up your heads and rejoice for the King of glory is coming with victory. Your battle is going to be won.
