The Lord wants His people to know that He is ready to help and deliver.
David used Jehovah Mepalti in Psalms 40:17.
“But I am poor and needy; Yet the Lord thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.”
Jehovah Mepalti thinks upon me. He is my help and my deliverer.
When you are poor and needy, you need to know that the Lord is thinking about you. When you are under attack, you need to call on the Lord. When things are not working as they should, Jehovah Mepalti is ready to help and deliver. As soon as you start calling upon His name, the Lord is your help and deliverer. He is Jehovah Mepalti.
In 2 Samuel 21, the giants of the Philistines came against Israel, David and His servants.
When they went out to battle, David became faint. Has that ever happened to you? When you needed to be strong, you became weak and faint. Sometimes when you need help, you are poor and needy. David was in need of deliverance. The sons and brother of Goliath were out to kill David.
Have you come up against things that were greater than you?
- Ishbi-Benob, one of the sons of Goliath, came out with a spear that weighed 7 ½ pounds and a new sword to kill David. He was on the battlefield to kill David. When David was too weak to go out to battle, Jehovah Mepalti sturred up Abishai the son of Zeruiah to come to David’s aid and strike down the Philistine and kill him.
Jehovah Mepalti was on the scene to help and deliver.
- Once again there was a battle at Gob and Saph the son of the giant was killed.
- Again, there was a battle at Gob, and the brother of Goliath came to fight with a spear that was like a weaver’s beam.
Jehovah Mepalti was present to help and deliver David’s men.
- Yet again there was a war in Gath and another man of great stature, the son of the giant, defied Israel. Jonathan the son of Shimea, David’s brother killed him.
Have you ever felt that you conquered Goliath and the battle should be over?
Then all of the sons and brothers of your enemy arose to attempt to destroy you. Jesus said, “the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but I have come that you may have life.” The Lord your God is Jehovah Mepalti, God your Deliverer. Regardless of what the enemy has planned, God will deliver you.
2 Samuel 22:1-3 NKJV Then David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, on the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
Say Jehovah Mepalti! The Lord is My Deliverer.

When you are needing help and deliverance you can call out to God. He is thinking about you and is ready to help and deliver.

When you are in trouble, call on the name of the Lord.
You need to know that the Lord is near. Not only is the Lord near, He is listening to your cry.
Psalm 18:3 NKJV I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Jehovah Mepalti is the Lord your deliverer.
What does that mean?
When your enemy comes against you, the Lord is there to help you. Your Deliverer is on the scene and He is listening to you.
Psalm 18:4-6 NKJV The pangs of death surrounded me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.
Jehovah Mepalti hears you when you cry out to Him.
His ears are open to your faintest cry.
Listen to what David said happens when God heard his cry.
Psalm 18:7 NKJV Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, because He was angry.
Did you know that God gets angry when the devil attacks you?
Psalm 18:8-9 NKJV Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down with darkness under His feet.
Jehovah Mepalti is the Lord your Deliverer.
It is not some small thing when the Lord comes to your aid. God is able to shake the foundations of the world for you. He moves mountains and splits seas to come to His people’s aid and deliverance. There is no mountain or giant that is greater than our God. When Jehovah Mepalti comes to deliver, He is able to pick you up.
He will rescue you!
Psalm 18:16-17 NKJV He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.
You just thought you were going under. When you are in deep waters, God will lift you up. Satan wants to make you think that you are beyond God’s ability to deliver you. Jehovah Mepalti will deliver you from your strong enemy.
The Lord is your Deliverer.
Regardless of how many giants come out against you, God is greater than them all.
Psalm 18:18-19 NKJV They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
Because God is your Deliverer, He will arm you with strength and help you when you are weak.
Psalm 18:32-33 NKJV It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places.
Psalm 18:36 NKJV You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip.

Jehovah, the Lord your God is going to do something big in your life.
Psalm 91:15 NKJV He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Jehovah Mepalti is the Lord your Deliverer!
When you call on the name of the Lord, Jehovah Mepalti will deliver you from the power of sin. He will deliver you from addictions and bad habits. He will deliver you from a lifestyle that is destroying your future. He will deliver you from your troubles.
There is a second part of His deliverance.
God is not just going to get you out, He is going to bring you into some great and mighty things. He will get you out of deep waters, but He will set your feet on a broad path so you do not stumble. He will establish your goings, so that you are walking in His righteousness, peace and joy. Jehovah Mepalti will deliver you into the inheritance of the saints. He will raise you up above the destructions that the enemy planned and will make you His very own child. You shall be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out. The Lord will set His favor upon you. The world and the enemy will have to say, this is what the Lord does for those He loves.
