Standing before God —  Do you see what I see?

Standing before God —  Do you see what I see?

Before the descendants of Abraham were even born, God had a plan and provision for their lives. When God called Abraham to leave his father’s house and that old life, God had a land and a destiny determined. Abraham walked by faith looking for a city whose builder and maker was God. Both Isaac and Jacob came into the hope and promise that God had made to Abraham. When the time had come for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’s descendants to come into God’s promised land they could not see what God saw. God brought them out of Egypt with a strong and mighty arm. He delivered them from Pharaoh’s army by making a way through the Red Sea. He brought them to Mount Sinai and came down in their midst, spoke to them and revealed His glory. God had planned to take them directly into the land He had prepared and it surely was a land of milk and honey. Everything they would need to be successful and prosper was laid before them, but all they could see were the giants and the walled cities. You need to know that when God brings you into your blessing, giants will show up. Israel’s problem was they lost perception of Who God is. They lost perception of who they were in God’s sight and they lost perception of who their enemies were.

2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

God has great things in store for every one of you. Don’t think any of you are here by accident. You are all here as part of God’s divine plan. God chose you before the foundation of the world for this particular time in history. We are people of purpose and destiny. We have been raised up for such a time as this. God wants you to go beyond the old barriers of your past and bring you into the things He has planned and provided for you in Christ. God’s power is available to each and every one of you to accomplish what He has planned. Israel failed in this when they looked over into God’s Promised Land, all they could see was giants, wars, and great walled cities.

God is challenging your faith to see what He sees.

Jesus said, “All things are possible if you believe.”

God was big enough to bring all of those millions of people out of Egypt and across the Red Sea. He was big enough to destroy one of the greatest armies in that world. They were walking under the cloud of God’s presence, and yet, they did not believe that God was able to do what He said He would do. They could not see what God saw.

Peter was fishing on the Sea of Galilee, Luke 5:4

Jesus told him to “Launch out into the deep and you will catch a great number of fish.” Peter said: “We’ve been fishing all night and we have caught no fish.” I am sure he was thinking, “There are no fish out there.” “I’m an experienced fisherman and that’s not the way I do things.” “I have my own routine and I’ve been doing it this way for years.”

Peter could not see what Jesus could see.

If Peter refused to launch out into the deep, he would only be hurting himself. If you want to remain in the same condition and at the same place for the rest of your life, just continue to be the way you have always been and nothing will change. Jesus was saying, “If you really want to see what I have in store for you and experience supernatural blessings, launch out into the deep.” “If you really want to see how I desire to bless you, launch out.” Peter had not fully realized that he was standing before the Son of God. He could not see what Jesus was seeing. Peter had to change the way he was thinking. He had to get out of his old routine and believe, trust, and launch out into the deep waters. When Peter launched out, he caught such a great number of fish that his nets began to break.

God always does things in abundance.

Peter had to take the first step and change his thinking. You cannot think one thing and believe God for another thing. You cannot think defeat, misery, and failure and expect to believe God with faith for victory at the same time. Your believing will always follow your thinking.

Matthew 8:13 As you believe, so let it will be done for you.

This is why it is so incredibly important to get your thinking in line with God’s Word. You have to know that God can do anything. You have to know that He can bring you through any situation. No giant is greater than the Lord your God. Nothing is too hard for our God.

God is not a natural God, He is a supernatural God.

He is not limited to the laws of nature. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts, (Isaiah 55:9).

The only thing that stops the Lord our God is our lack of faith.

Our lack of faith starts in our mind and in our heart. When Israel sent spies into the Land of Promise, they immediately recognized that it was exactly what they had been told. It was a rich land that was full of God’s promised blessings. The majority of them could not see what God saw. All they could see was how great their enemies would be. How are we going to fix these problems?  How are we going to repair these situations? They were overwhelmed by the troubles and difficulties they could see, and forgot that God had given them the land. Often in life there is no logical solution. You cannot believe God, have faith in your heart, and have a negative worried fearful mind. That is why it is so important to constantly meditate on God’s Word. That is what will build your faith.

In Luke 1, The angel told the Virgin Mary, “Behold, you have found favor with God. And you’re going to conceive and give birth to a child and they shall call his name Jesus.”

Mary reacted the same way we would. She told the angel, “How can this be?”  This must have sounded impossible to her. Mary said, “I have never known a man and you are telling me that I’m going to have a baby.” She had to resist doubt and change her thinking. Although that kind of thing never happened before she said: “Tell me, how can this be?” The angel said, “Mary, the Holy Spirit shall come upon you and the power of the Most High God shall overshadow you.”

God has not changed.

He is still the same and the Holy Spirit is still alive, active and He is living on the inside of every believer. God’s power is available to come upon each of you and bring to pass exactly what God has purposed. His power is ready to overshadow you and give you the miracle that you need.

Psalms 138:3 tells us: “As soon as I cried out for help, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.”

When you begin acting in faith, things in the spirit world start to take place. God begins dispatching His angels, and the miracle gets set into motion. Just because you don’t see it with your natural eyes does not mean that God is not working. There is a whole world out there that we cannot see with natural eyes. Even when all you see are the impossibilities and the giants, God is working to bring about His plan for you. Just keep the faith and don’t waiver. You must know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God can do anything. Since God has rescued you before, He can rescue you again. Nothing is too hard for our God. There is a due season with God and in His timing your answer will come. Until then, stand strong and keep the faith. Hold on to God’s promises and don’t ever give up. God is saying enlarge your vision and believe Him for big things and things that seem impossible.

In Numbers 11, the multitudes of Israel came to hate the manna and they complained to Moses.

Moses came to God and said “Where am I to get meat to give to all these people?” You should know that nothing is too hard for God. God told Moses, “You shall eat meat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten, nor twenty, but I will give you meat for 30 straight days.” Do you have any idea how much meat it would take to feed over two million people for 30 days? Moses asked God, “How in the world is this going to happen?” He could not see where he could provide enough for them.

Numbers 11:23 NKJV And the Lord said to Moses, “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”

You need to hear this word from the Lord and apply it to your situation. God’s power is just as great today as it was when He brought them across the Red Sea on dry ground. I challenge you to enlarge your vision and dream bigger dreams. Reach for new heights and broaden your horizons. Think outside of the box because nothing is too difficult for our God. If we believe, all things are possible.
